Overland Park-based Examinetics Inc. continued its buying streak with a second acquisition since December. The occupational health screening company acquired Enviromed Corp., which provides mobile hearing testing throughout the Eastern United States. Examinetics did not disclose the value of the deal. Employers with workers that are exposed to noise levels above 85 decibels are required to monitor their hearing over time. The mobile test uses an audiometer and pair of headphones to measure subjects' ability to differentiate different sounds, pitches and frequencies in each ear. Less than three months ago, Examinetics acquired another company, Occupational Testing Group, allowing the company to provide more types of screenings in a broader market. "With the addition of OTG and Enviromed to our national platform, we are now delivering services to more than 15,000 locations annually," Examinetics CEO Troy Heppner said in a release. "We are extremely excited to add these customers into our portfolio and look forward to providing comprehensive solutions to address their risk management and compliance needs." Enviromed is based in the Philadelphia suburb of Lindenwold, N.J.
Examinetics, an Overland Park occupational health company, will expand its footprint with the acquisition of North Carolina-based Occupational Testing Group. The deal, which closed in December, will allow Examinetics to reach additional U.S. markets for mobile occupational health screenings. It also will allow the company to provide more services, such as medical examinations for worker exposure to cotton dust, which is often present in facilities where cotton is handled and processed. “The acquisition of OTG complements our overall occupational health screening and data management service offerings," Examinetics CEO Troy Heppner said in a statement. "With this acquisition, Examinetics has further enhanced our screening capabilities and provided additional mobile capacity to meet the growing demands of our customers.” Examinetics provides mobile occupational health screenings, data services and wellness programs to help companies meet occupational health regulations. The company provided 850,000 screenings in 2017.
