Safety Staffing

Temporary and permanent EHS professionals placed on your site, from one experienced safety manager to a complete project safety team.

Experienced Safety Professionals, On Your Site

Examinetics delivers both temporary and permanent EHS staffing. Our recruiting network and credentialed specialists mean you get the expertise the role actually calls for, in the location you need it, at the point in the project when you need it there.

We place dedicated safety professionals on site, whether that is a single experienced hire or an entire safety team stood up quickly. The model is built to give you a partner you can call rather than a search you have to run yourself.

Evaluated on more than a resume

Our team evaluates each professional’s certifications and technical experience, and then the things a certificate cannot show: communication skills, field presence, and the ability to work effectively with project teams and trades. A safety professional who cannot hold a room on a busy site is not the right placement.

We know mission-critical construction

We understand the pace these projects run at, the expectations that come with them, the personalities involved and the level of professionalism required. A strong safety professional who has never worked in that environment can struggle in it, so we screen for the setting as carefully as we screen for the skill set.

We stay involved after the placement

Our field team has operational support behind it, so the relationship continues after someone starts. As project manpower changes through the phases of a build, we can support an individual need or scale to larger requirements, which means adjusting an existing arrangement rather than opening a new search.

Safety Roles We Staff

We place safety professionals who can walk onto a live site and hold their own from the first shift.

We provide dedicated on-site safety professionals for large-scale construction and mission-critical projects. We have supported general contractors, trade partners, owners and owner’s representatives on some of the largest and most complex projects across the country. This includes:

  • Data centers
  • Advanced manufacturing
  • EV and battery facilities
  • High-demand construction environments.

What we place depends on the site rather than on the job title in the requisition. We can support safety managers, safety professionals, CHST-level personnel, LOTO and energy control specialists and other project-specific roles, individually or as a complete team. Two sites can post the same title and genuinely need different people, so the starting point is a conversation about the work. We can place a range professionals including:

  • Safety managers
  • Field safety professionals
  • CHST-level personnel
  • LOTO and energy control specialists
  • Other project-specific safety roles
  • A complete project safety team
  • Temporary, project-based coverage and permanent placements

How a Placement Works

We do not begin a search from scratch when a need arises. Our Talent Acquisition function focuses specifically on safety professionals, which keeps us current on compensation, availability, certifications, project movement and where qualified people are actually located. We are continually building relationships with safety professionals throughout the country, so a requirement that lands today meets a pipeline that already exists.

From there we work the match in both directions. We understand the client side and the candidate side of the equation, which lets us set realistic expectations around experience, compensation, availability and timing before anyone is put forward. That conversation is far more useful early than late, particularly on a project with a start date that will not move.

Once someone is placed, our field team has operational support behind it. We do not simply place an employee and disappear. As project manpower changes, we can support an individual need or scale to larger project-wide staffing requirements without you having to start over with a new source.

Staffing is different from our consulting work, and it is worth knowing which one you need. Staffing puts a safety professional on your site to do the job day to day. Consulting gives you an Examinetics consultant who visits regularly to guide and support your program while your own people run it.

A safety manager carries the program on your site: the day-to-day operations, the coordination with project teams and the responsibility for how safety actually runs. We evaluate candidates for this role on technical experience and certifications, and just as carefully on communication skills and field presence, because a safety manager spends the day persuading people rather than filing paperwork. Placements can be permanent or project-based.

Field safety professionals are the presence on the ground supporting your project’s requirements, your workforce and your day-to-day operations. They work alongside trades, which is why we assess each candidate’s ability to work effectively with project teams rather than only their credentials. We can place a single field professional or several as part of a wider team depending on the size and pace of the project.

Some projects specifically require CHST-level personnel, and that requirement is usually not negotiable. We source and screen candidates at that level and verify certifications as part of our evaluation, alongside technical experience and the softer qualities the role demands on an active site. Tell us the standard the project has to meet and we will staff to it.

Energy control is specialist territory, and it benefits from someone whose focus is exactly that. We place LOTO and energy control specialists who can support the practice on your site day to day. It is also an area where staffing and consulting connect, since our consultants perform lockout tagout audits and written procedures through safety audits.

Not every safety requirement fits a standard title. We place professionals for other project-specific safety roles where a job has a particular exposure, a particular phase or a particular client requirement attached to it. The starting point is a description of the work and the environment, and we source against that rather than against the nearest matching label.

For larger or more complex projects, we can place a complete safety team rather than individual hires assembled from several places. That means one conversation about coverage, one set of evaluations applied consistently, and one relationship for ongoing field support throughout the project. We stay involved to help ensure the team consistently meets expectations as the work progresses.

Staffing Alongside Our Consulting Work

Our safety professionals are placed on both construction projects and operating facilities. Screening is tailored to the setting, so each placement is matched to the demands of the site. Here are some of the facilities we serve:

Construction and infrastructure:

  • General and heavy civil construction
  • Bridges, highways, transit and public utility work
  • OCIP and CCIP insurance program projects
  • Data centers and advanced manufacturing builds
  • EV and battery facilities

Operating facilities and sites:

  • Warehouses, logistics and distribution centers
  • Manufacturing plants and process safety environments
  • Power generation, utilities and renewable energy
  • Oil and gas, chemical processing and mining
  • Healthcare, pharmaceutical and research facilities
  • Stadiums, arenas and large entertainment venues

When Safety Staffing Makes Sense

Staffing requests usually arrive from one of a few positions on a project.

You are a general contractor with coverage to fill
A project carries safety requirements your existing team cannot absorb alongside their normal work, and the start date is fixed. Project-based coverage puts the right person on that site for as long as the work runs.

You are an owner or owner’s representative
You need safety oversight on your behalf rather than on the contractor’s, and you need someone credible enough to be taken seriously by everyone on site. We have supported owners and owner’s representatives on complex projects and screen specifically for that standing.

You are a trade partner asked to provide your own safety personnel
The requirement came from the contractor or the insurance program, and it is specific. We staff to the level named rather than to the nearest available profile.

Your manpower is about to change
A project is ramping up, moving phases or winding down, and the safety coverage has to move with it. We can scale an existing placement into a team, or back again.
